What does it take to be a successful manager in 2024?

In this workshop we explore some of the challenges managers face in our present-day workplaces, such as the more permanent shift to hybrid working, neuro-inclusive workforces and constantly changing responsibilities and expectations. We consider core skills that enable managers to effectively address these changes and adapt accordingly. We share tips to help you to do everything you can to support your team and help them succeed. Time to reflect on your own situation will help you to identify how you can be the most effective manager you can be, leading your team and inspiring them to flourish and reach their untapped potential.

essential behaviours for ensuring inclusivity and fairness in the workplace.
techniques for managing and supporting a neuro-diverse workforce.
how to create phycological safety and build trust

Workshop outcomes:

On completion of the workshop participants will be able to:

• Define hybrid working and list ways to support individuals and teams working in remotely.

• List effective managerial behaviours that encourage inclusivity and belonging.

• Describe the benefits that neuro-diverse individuals can bring to the workforce and describe how to successfully support and manage neuro-different employees at work to ensure they thrive.

• Explain how psychological safety can lead to a positive team climate.

• Write a personal action plan to implement effective people skills and thrive as a manager.
