Description

PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT IS A WORKING GROUP FOR ADVOCATES AND THEIR GUESTS. NOT AN ADVOCATE? JOIN HERE.

TLA WiT is passionate about taking the action needed to raise the profile of Women in Tech

Join us for our 2016 Wrap Up Party & Final Working Session 5th December 17:30 – 20:00 at City Hall

Executive Presence: Paving your way to the Boardroom

Our final working group session will explore what it takes to gain a Board or NED role via a fireside chat PLUS an Interactive development session on Executive Presence.

We are delighted to have the Deputy Mayor of London, Rajesh Agrawal open the session hosted with the support of the Mayor of London at City Hall. The Mayor is committed to challenging gender inequality, prioritising closing the gender pay gap and supporting women to break the glass ceiling.

Fireside Chat – How to pave your way to Non Exec & Board roles & what to do when there

In this lively chat, we will hear very open insights, reflections and tips from:

Queen of startups & serial investor - Bindi Karia

3xNED & CEO of IronGroup - Anne de Kerckhove

Builder of Boards & Master VC at BGF Ventures - Rory Stirling

SAP UKI Board Member - Leanne Taylor

Chairwoman of Made.com and multi NED holder - Susanne Given

Multi NED Holder & CEO of Featurespace - Martina King.

Exclusive Executive Workshop with Nikki Watkins: Executive Presence. We’ve all heard of it and we’re told we need it, but what exactly is it and how do we know if we’ve got “it” or not?

It is an elusive phrase used more frequently to give developmental feedback to women than men: “You’re too quiet, you need to speak up, you need to develop more Executive Presence.” Sound familiar? In a world where corporate leaders are no longer confined to the white male stereotype of the past, there is a need for us to be aware of how we can develop Authentic Executive Presence in order to be taken seriously, and also to educate those around us that the outdated perceptions of what “it” is, no longer belong in business.

Wrap Up Party

Following our Executive Workshop we invite you to stay for our wrap up party, raising a glass of festive cheer to celebrate 2016 and commit to actions for 2017

This event is for all our advocates, male and female! Please bring a colleague or friend – reminding them to apply to join us on line first in order that we can welcome them into the fold.

Our Proud Sponsor

This working session wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our exclusive sponsor FeatureSpace, the worlds leading provider of Adaptive Behavioural Analytics technology
