TLE Seminar - March 2017 - What's hot in learning technology?
Wednesday, 1 March 2017 from 13:00 to 15:00 (GMT)
The word Communication comes from the Latin verb communicare “to share” and true communication is a 2 way process where participants reach mutual understanding by creating and sharing meaning, connecting both people and places.
The “What’s hot in technology” TLE seminar will look at how technology can bring staff, students and disparate locations together to leverage a shared understanding within peer to peer and staff/student communication. In the context of learning, student engagement can also be improved through effective two way communication. In this seminar, staff will showcase how they enhance communication with their students, with the aim of improving their learning and engagement, by broadcasting lectures live and allowing remote participation, recording the lecture for a follow up workshop or listening to the student voice using various tools.
Come along to find out how your colleagues have implemented an engagement strategy for their module and design your own.
