For the period of Lockdown we're trialling a series of Saturday long pose sessions as well as our regular short/medium pose sessions on Tuesdays. The link for both sessions can be found on our website:

Join us for 2 hours of untutored life drawing on Saturday 5 pm GMT with life model, presenter and runway model Katie, from Brighton.

About this Event:

The Zoom room will be open from 4.30 for us to gather, settle into the best seats and get to know each other. (Ok, I'm kidding, we're all at home, you already have the best seats). Then the session starts at 5pm promptly.

It's 2 hours 3 warmup poses and 1 long pose

3 x 5 minute poses

1.5 hour pose with short breaks in between (3 x 25 mins + 5 mins break)

There is an optional sharing of your work after the session, and talk about what you do and what you tried with each one, which one was pleasurable to do, which pose was a challenge. Not an art critique per se (I remember them being horrendous at Art School) but just a option to share your work and for us to witness.

The Model:

Katie has it sorted! Not one to stop her modelling career in lockdown, Katie has set herself up as an online lifemodel. While also a runway model and presenter she has worked all over the world as a model. And at nearly 6 foot tall, she certainly has a striking appearance.

We use the Zoom platform as it seems to be the go-to platform for these things. It doesn't take long to set up and you don't need a permanent profile. You may need to download an app or click to the zoom website. Set that up by going to https://zoom.us and it may ask you to download an extension and configure your video and audio. Once that happens, you're all set up.

EarlyBird

There is an EarlyBird ticket price to get the ball rolling for our participants. It'll cost £5 for the earlybirds and £7 for the regular priced tickets. Payments are via eventbrite. Please note the that the link and password will be emailed to you as part of your confirmation email. DO NOT DELETE THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL AS IT CONTAINS THE ZOOM LINK.

House Rules

ABSOLUTELY no screenshots or recording of the session

Please keep your video cameras on throughout the session. This is for transparency to enable the model to see who is witnessing them and for us to monitor the session.

some models may choose to wear masks or be semi-clothed- life modelling via the internet brings a certain amount of privacy issues compared to that of a session in person with a limited number of in-person participants.

please include any link to your artist's website or instagram or any other social media link that you share your artwork on

it is your responsibility that no minors are present during the sessions as I have no control over who is present in your homes.
