Description

This concert features 6 talented young traditional musicians who have appeared in the annual BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Award, including the winner, Hannah Rarity, who hails from West Lothian, along with the winner of the previous year.

The line up for this Tour is:

2018 winner Hannah Rarity - voice (Dechmount)

2017 winner Charlie Stewart – fiddle (Perthshire)

Rory Matheson - piano (Drumbeg)

Amy Papinransky - voice (Keith)

David Shedden - bagpipes (Glasgow)

Luc McNally - guitar & voice (Dipton)

NB: finalist Ali Levack - whistles/pipes (Maryburgh) is not able to take part in the Tour but is included in the Tour CD/recording.

The Tour takes the young musicians back to their home towns as well as other parts of Scotland so they can inspire others and thank their communities for the support they have had over the years.

Expect some brand new material written and composed by the young musicians, as well as some innovative arrangements of traditional tunes, all of which feature on their new album - which will be available to purchase at the concert or available through the TMSA shop at www.tmsa.org.uk or through Amazon, or download a copy through iTunes or stream through Spotify.
