Using a range of different cameras including your phone we will explore portrait and self portrait photography. Learn the basics of photography, how to light your subjects and how you can quickly edit your images ready for printing and posting.
Collage workshop with Mr Ray

This workshop aims to introduce people to the concept of physical/digital collage, and refine the knowledge of those who already use it. Using the library books as our inspiration we will scan images and text to create a series of A4 artworks on themes of minimalism, maximalism and delivering a message. We will scan, photograph and print our source material, learning how best to maintain professional quality whilst creating a truly individual series of artworks.
Print workshop!

Using the content you have developed over the previous workshops we will print your work. We will use the library printers and also make sure your work is ready to be printed in large format. At the end of the session we will walk over to The Carousel to show you the print equipment we have here.
DROP IN WORKSHOP

“To You” is a project that aims to spark conversations with people whilst also encouraging them to open up creative dialogues with themselves through self portraiture, collage and paste up artwork.
A drop in workshop exploring photography, collage, print and paste up for all ages and really accessible activities. We will be trying to get over 100 people to create their own self portrait collage and we will paste this artwork onto hoarding.
A big, collaborative, friendly, fun and creative day of public engagement.
