Yes - there is parking on ground floor only from 7pm of the Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre opposite the Pioneers Museum. Alternative short stay parking at Reed Hill car park further up Hunters Lane on the left (Local Authority). Parking on Toad Lane itself is discouraged.

Will refreshments served be halal or vegan?

Hot drinks (tea / coffee) including non-diary milk. No food will be served during the workshop. Ingredients used are natural and plant based, but if you have a specific enquiry please contact the museum in advance.

What do I need to bring / wear?

We will be preparing a home remedy as part of the group workshop - please wear suitable clothing and footwear. There will be gloves and tools available, all equipment will be provided, but please bring a small bottle or jar with a secure lid to take some of the 'remedy' home with you!

Welcome to the Toad Lane Herbalism Workshop!

Come join us for an evening hands-on workshop where you'll learn all about the wonderful world of herbalism.

Find out about Toad Lane's herbal past before the Industrial Revolution and make a practical herbal tonic with Accredited workshop leader Edwina Hodkinson.

As part of our new 'Commonground' parklet and our commitment to a better understanding of the natural world, find out more about the power of plants for wellness and learn valuable skills as part of a group.

Hot drinks will be provided. Materials provided, but please bring a glass bottle or jar to take home your remedy.

This session is not limited to adults, but is only suitable for accompanied children over 12 years for health and safety reasons - this session is also not guaranteed free of allergens.
