Join us for a concertina book-making workshop run by the London Centre for Book Arts (LCBA), a pioneering artist-run studio in east London’s historic print district.
In this workshop, you will learn how to construct hardcover concertina books. These structures combine practical design with artistic possibilities, ideal for portfolios, journals or artist books. Participants will bind their books with cloth-covered boards and finish with foil-blocked and embossed protective sleeves.
Established in 2012, it provides open access to professional bookbinding, printing and publishing facilities, promoting artist-led publishing through education and community engagement. LCBA supports makers regardless of background or experience, fostering a collaborative environment for creative exploration in book arts.
All materials will be provided.
