Will I need to speak or present at my first meeting?

No! We're a friendly group and there's no need to speak during the meeting unless you want to. You can simply observe and attend as a guest.

Can I attend the meeting online?

Yes, we hold the meeting both in-person and online. If you wish to attend online, an email will be sent to you which will include the Zoom link and passcode.

Do I need to become a Toastmaster to attend the meetings?

No, you can attend the meeting as a guest. If you wish to join Toastmasters we can discuss this with you separately.

Where is the in-person meeting held?

We are currently based in the Community Hall, Unity Place, 200 Grafton Gate, Milton Keynes, MK9 1UP. The community hall is located on the ground floor, access is from outside the building at the station side, exit Unity Place near the Coffee Tuk Tuk and co-working desks and turn right

Premium tariff parking is available at Unity Place. Standard tariff parking is available across the road, outside the old Santander offices.

Overview

We are a friendly group (part of Toastmasters International) that meets twice a month to improve public speaking skills while having fun.

Toastmasters International is a not for profit company providing an educational package for public speaking, leadership, mentoring and evaluation at a pocket-friendly membership cost.

We run hybrid meetings on the 1st Friday of the month and the 3rd Friday of the month but for January due to holidays we will be meeting on the 2nd Friday and 4th Friday of the month.

In-person at the Community Hall, Unity Place, 200 Grafton Gate, Milton Keynes, MK9 1UP. The Community Hall is located on the ground floor of Unity Place, on the same side as Milton Keynes station. We recommend parking across the road at the old Santander office building, which is standard tariff. Parking is also available at Unity Place, but bear in mind that it's premium tariff.
