Event description

Description

ASH Scotland and Youth 1st will be running a workshop session focusing on tobacco prevention in community youth work settings.

This two hour session is designed to help youth workers overcome the challenges and barriers that can be faced when addressing tobacco issues with the young people that they work with.

The session will:

· encourage youth workers to think about the impact that tobacco use might be having on young people they work with.

· identify and provide practical tools and activities for youth workers to engage young people in tobacco issues and demonstrate that tobacco is more than just a health issue.

· help youth workers to explore how to raise tobacco in a non-judgemental way that will not exclude young people who smoke.

· provide details of further opportunities and how to incorporate tobacco into other youth work issues and develop effective health promoting tobacco policies in youth work settings.

There are STILL PLACES AVAILABLE on this course. BOOK NOW to avoid disappointment.
