Would you like to come and try new games and activities to play with your child that will help develop their speech and language?

In this 1½hr session we will talk about how children’s speech and language develops and how communication is more than just words.


This session is face-to-face. Tickets are free and spaces are limited. Please let us know if you are unable to attend, so the space can be used for others.

Who is this session for?

Parents and carers of young children (2 years and over), you are welcome to bring them along!

What does this session cover?

  • The way your child communicates and how to encourage talk (chat, play, reading)
  • Developing skills in attention, listening and understanding
  • Supporting speech sounds
  • Why fun activities such as songs and games work.


N.B. This session is open to all parents and carers of babies and children registered with a Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, Health Visiting team.
