TOGETHER CREATE - ART AND MAKING IN TILBURY

Together Create brings people together across generations, cultures and backgrounds to create, connect, learn and collaborate to make change in their local area

Come along to our art and making sessions in Tilbury to unleash your creativity in a fun, welcoming, safe and supportive environment. Everybody is welcome and no previous experience is needed.

Our sessions take place every Wednesday from 3:30-5pm on the following dates:

With expert artists Marsha Ashley and Salina Jane we will create our own artwork and contribute towards the making of our Together Create Pop Up Art space. Building on the our Community Picnic Blanket created in summer 2025, we will now be creating cushions and large-scale collaborative artworks, which weave together stories, dreams and cultural traditions. We will learn new textile and artistic techniques and share our skills with one another.

Our creative outcomes will be shared at events taking place in Thurrock across the year. This Winter we are working towards 'Winter Welcome', an celebration of community and culture at Welcome to the UK on Thursday 18th December, 12-2pm. In the Spring/Summer we are working towards an exciting collaboration with our friends at Kinetika and T100, as well as an event to mark Refugee Week 2026, and explore its theme of 'Courage'.
