What are the Together We Care Better events about?
Aimed at senior figures in care, from Registered Managers to Care Home Managers the roundtable styled events are designed to provide a free session to help improve the way that care planning is undertaken on a specific topic of merit within the care sector. The events will each cover a unique hot topic from the regional care sector.
The Dorset event will cover End of Life planning and is hosted in conjunction with Dorset Care Homes Association & Dorset Home Care Providers Association.
What will the event format be?
The together we care better events will follow a roundtable style format each focusing on gathering together a series of experts on a specific topic currently in vogue within the care sector and allowing participants to actively question and discuss their own unique positions. Our feedback raised issues with current classroom-style events, with respondents reporting that they were unable to gain access to actionable insights and felt that after leaving an event they were unlikely in some cases to make positive changes as a result. Over the course of three hours, participants will be encouraged to contribute to discussions led by industry experts and thought leaders. There will also be a small lunch/comfort break to allow attendees to network.
How can a Together We Care Better event help you improve the care you provide?
The aim of the Together We Care Better event series is to provide a forum where participants can talk with expert, receive useful and tailored information regarding a the session's topic. Each event will be limited to 20 attendees in order to maximise the amount of 1-2-1 guidance that can be gained from the attending experts, thought leaders and networking session. The events will focus on providing actionable information for you to take away and use to improve the care you provide in your care settings. Each event will also be filmed and subsequent information will be emailed to you regarding the hot topic to help you after the event.
How much will the events cost to attend?
We believe that charging for attendance, even a small amount, will exclude some of participants who might be in need of support the most; that's why the Together We Care Better events are free to attend for care sector professionals who are members of their local care home association.
