Organised by: MS Together – a UK charity supporting young adults living with multiple sclerosis, in collaboration with Roxy Murray - The Multiple Sclerosis Fashionista.

About the event:

Get ready for an inspiring, feel-good day of creativity, connection, and community! We are hosting a special event in London designed to show how creative expression, in any form, can boost your wellbeing.

No artistic experience? No problem. This event is all about having fun, trying something new, and enjoying a relaxed space where you can express yourself in whatever way feels right for you.

It’s also a great chance to meet others affected by MS, share experiences, and build new friendships in a pressure-free environment.

The day will feature:

Workshop 1: Creative Writing

With Staffordshire’s Poet Laureate Scarlett Ward of Fawn Press Publishing

Our relationship with our bodies changes as we move through life. Sometimes we honour them, sometimes we struggle with what they can or cannot do, and sometimes we simply pause to notice all the pieces that make us who we are.

Join us for a creative session hosted by Scarlett where you’ll get the chance to reflect on your relationship with your body. No experience is needed to take part. This workshop is for anyone, whether you write regularly or haven’t picked up a pen since school.

Through written word you can reflect, express yourself, try something new, or simply enjoy a quiet moment of creativity and connection.

After the workshop, participants will be invited to submit a poem for consideration in a special anthology created in collaboration with Fawn Press.

Workshop 2: Art Expression

With Art Therapist Immy Fooks

Get ready for a burst of colour, playfulness, and pure creative freedom.

During this relaxed art session, Immy will guide you through a range of inspiring ideas from creating a piece that reflects your MS journey, to painting how MS makes you feel, to crafting a mini vision board for the year ahead.

You’ll also be able to choose from a variety of creative options, including collaging, illustration, and more. Or, if you prefer, you can ignore all the prompts entirely and let your imagination lead the way.

There’s no “right” way to take part and absolutely no skill needed. It’s a chance to experiment, express yourself, and enjoy making something uniquely yours. Expect a warm, supportive space with plenty of encouragement to explore without pressure.

You will also be invited to submit artwork should you chose to for inclusion in the final anthology, making this a true celebration of MS creativity and community.

🎤 Inspiring panel discussion

Later in the day, you’ll hear from a range of voices from within the MS community as they share experiences, insights, and the powerful role creativity has played in their wellbeing.

Speakers will be announced shortly!

This is a chance to listen, connect, ask questions, and feel inspired.

The Final Anthology

At the end of the project, selected poems and artwork will be brought together into a beautifully designed book a collaborative snapshot of the MS community’s creativity, honesty, and voice.

🥗 Light lunch and refreshments included (tea, coffee, soft drinks).

What to expect:

  • No experience needed - just come as you are!
  • Choose your level of involvement in each workshop.
  • Leave with something you’ve made, new inspiration, and connections with others who “get it.”
