Together We Stand Stronger: The Brilliant Breakfast
Event Information
About this event
We are hosting a special event for all women across the country to highlight the importance of female solidarity in inspiring and changing young women’s lives. The event will raise money for the young women in the UK who need our support, helping pave their way to a more positive future.
COVID-19 and its impact on the current economy has thrown up particular challenges for women on the path to fulfilling their ambitions. It has been disheartening to see opportunities dwindle while many bright and promising women are being left with less hope for a bright and successful future.
Young people are among the hardest hit by COVID-19. Prince's Trust research shows that over half of young women say their anxiety has increased because of the crisis and say that finding a job feels impossible, underlining why it's more important than ever to support young women.
- PWC found that 80% of those who have lost their jobs since the crisis began are women and that two thirds of these are aged 18-34 (The Times)
- Women are one third more likely than men to work in a sector that is now shut down (Institute of Fiscal Studies)
We want to change this. Let’s see where our combined strength takes us.
Together we can change the world: it may be run by men (for now) but it’s time for our unique powers to shine!
The event takes the form of an online conversation among women who will share their life experience, failures and successes, to show that is indeed possible to overcome challenges and hard times, find opportunities, make changes and realise our dreams.
Make yourself a coffee and join us.
The event will be hosted and moderated by SteffyB aka Stefania Barbaglio - Disruptor, Entrepreneur, Fashionista, PR Marketing Guru, Business Strategist and Advisor
