Hear true stories of witchcraft and magic stretching back 400 years, with Dr Andrew Sneddon, lecturer in History at University of Ulster
About this event
In Jordanstown in Co. Antrim in the late 1800s, a brother and sister attacked a neighbour when he accused them of witchcraft. They were then jailed, escaped prison, shot a bailiff who tried to repossess their farm and tried to blow up the local police station. If you want to know what happened to these 'Bonny and Clyde' witches as well as hear many more true stories of witchcraft and magic stretching back 400 years, come along and hear Dr Andrew Sneddon, lecturer in History at Ulster University and leading expert on the history of Irish witchcraft
