The Belfast Guitar Society Presents international fingerstyle Guitarist Tom Lumen live in concert with support from local guitarist Gavin Ferris.
Tom's passion and enthusiasm grabs full attention of the audience and his performances are characterised by intimacy and interaction, as well as virtuosity and cheerfulness. Besides the impressive and distinctive sound of his own compositions, he plays well-known favourites by famous musicians such as Queen, Nat King Cole, Tommy emmanuel, The Beatles, Billy Idol and Michael Jackson.
Gavin Ferris first burst on to the NI music scene in 2007 with his unique sound and striking presence. Captivating audiences with his percussive playing (inspired by guitarists such as Antoine Dufour, Tommy Emmanuel, Thomas Leeb and Andy McKee), Gavin’s music encompasses many styles, including Rock, Contempory, Flamenco, Jazz and Blues, while still holding on to his Irish traditional roots.
This is a small intimate event held in one of Belfasts oldest and historic Linen Mills.There will be sofas, candles and some of the best fingerstyle guitar you are likely to see. Spaces are limited so registering in advance is advisable.
All attendees are advised to meet at the main gates of Blackstaff behind the petrol station on the springfield road at 9pm. You will then be guided through the main building to the concert space by one of our organisers. Gates will shut at 9:30pm.
