We would very much like to invite you to the Tomorrow's Company and CIMA annual lunchtime reception at the House of Lords, on Wednesday 13 November.
This is always a special event and this year we are delighted to welcome Paul Feeney, Chief Executive of Old Mutual Wealth, the investment arm of the FTSE 100 long-term savings group, Old Mutual plc.
Paul will be setting out how he is transforming Old Mutual Wealth (OMW), launching new products and improving service whilst closing down products which do not practically contribute to OMW being their customers'
"most trusted partner - passionate about helping them achieve their lifetime financial goals."
This has involved tough ethical and commercial choices, for instance on what drives returns in various markets across the world and how to ensure that this is consistent with commissions not driving product sales.
Paul will be talking about what he is seeking to achieve but also reflecting on what's really involved in making it happen, both as a business and as a leader driving this change.
Paul will be joined Fiona Reynolds, Managing Director at The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), who will be outlining what Paul's story means in the wider context.
Paul isn't alone, he demonstrates what being part of PRI really means in practice.
Fiona will also be reflecting on the challenges for PRI, acknowledging the issues in terms of people signing up and paying lip service, and outlining her ambitions for PRI and why it is in the interests of its members to address the kinds of issues that OMW are addressing, in order to to achieve sustainable success.
This year's Parliamentary Reception renews our tradition of hosting a wonderful event at this superb and memorable location, bringing together influential and outstanding leaders in business and beyond from across the world. We very much hope you will join us.
The first Tomorrow's Value Lecture was given by Lord Stephen Green whilst in his role as Group Chairman HSBC Holdings plc - at Mansion House. Subsequent lectures have been given by Anant Nadkarni of Tata, Pavan Sukhdev Head of Green Economy Initiative, UNEP, Professor Michael Mainelli Professor of Commerce at Gresham College and Founder Director of the Z/Yen Group and Paul Walsh, CEO of Diageo; Joe Garner, Head of UK Retail and Deputy CEO of HSBC Bank plc; Paul Abberley, CEO of Aviva Investors, David Brennan, CEO of Astra Zeneca; Gervais Williams, Managing Director of Miton Funds plc; John Hurrell, Chief Executive of Airmic; Andrew Fisher, CEO of Towry; Robert Swannell, Chairman of M&S Charlie Mayfield, Chairman of John Lewis Partnership; Dick Olver, Chairman of BAE Systems and Dominic Barton, Global Managing Director of McKinsey & Co.
Tomorrow's Company and CIMA believe that the relationship between value and values is fundamentally changing: that sustainable value creation must now recognise 'the triple context' combining economic drivers with social and environmental imperatives. CIMA's qualification upholds the highest ethical standards for members throughout their careers.
As spaces are limited, we will be confirming your attendance after registration.
We look forward to welcoming you,
