Description

Tomorrow's World for Energy and Water

What will future energy and water customers and citizens need and want?

The National Infrastructure Commission, in partnership with Sustainability First, is delighted to invite you to this collaborative horizon-scan.

This workshop is part of Sustainability First's New Energy and Water Public Interest Network (New-Pin) programme. We will be exploring what changes may be needed to meet future customer and citizen expectations

Our exciting programme includes

  • Future outlook for the energy and water sectors: scene setting to 2030 and the longer-term context

  • Consumer and citizen perspectives: our changing needs and expectations

  • Bottom-up, top-down and / or regional approaches to meeting future needs: how much responsibility and control do we want?

  • Consumer attitudes and behaviours

  • Making change happen: how realistic are expectations of 'ideal' future households?

The workshop will be a good opportunity to

  • Put forward your organisation's views about future energy and water needs and expectations

  • Hear about and shape the National Infrastructure Commission's thinking in this area

  • Network with public interest groups, energy and water companies and regulators

  • Vote on different approaches to tackling future energy and water challenges

  • Meet a group of young people from think tank CoVi who have been crowd sourcing ideas about future energy and water needs
