About this event
Tom's Legacy Loop - a community fun run in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support
About Tom's Legacy Loop
'Tom's Legacy Loop' is a community fun run organised by Jack Dowling as a tribute to his brother, Tom.
This event is part of Jack's Project 26:26 fundraising initiative, which has already raised more than £125,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Jack is once again lacing up his trainers. Only this time, he's inviting the Project 26:26 community for a special afternoon to support his biggest project yet - a community fun run!
The challenge is simple: complete as many loops of our 2.6-mile course as you can in 2.6 hours.
This family-friendly event is for all ages and abilities. Whether you run, jog or walk, everyone who completes one loop is guaranteed a medal.
For those who enjoy a bit more competition, how many loops can you manage?

Important information
- Once registered, you'll receive your e-tickets via email. On-the-day registration will open from 7.45am and close at 9.15am. Full pre-event information will be sent to those registered nearer to the time.
- Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied to and from the event by a responsible adult. The responsible adult must remain in attendance for the duration of the event.
- The 2.6-mile loop is a multi-terrain route, starting and finishing at Chesterfield High School. It includes sections on school playing fields (grass), Rimrose Valley Country Park, and paved paths. Due to the varied and potentially uneven surfaces, the course is not suitable for wheelchairs or running buggies/prams.
- This event is a run not a race as there are road crossings (TBC with final route), to assist there will be safety marshals at road crossings but they will not be able to stop the traffic for you. Please listen to and follow their instructions. Remember you are responsible for your own safety.
- The route will be clearly marked with directional arrows and signs. Our team of volunteer marshals will be positioned at key points along the route to guide and support you.
- All money raised from this event will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support to help them continue their vital work supporting people and families living with cancer.
