TONiC MS Research Involvement Event
Wed 29 March 2017, 19:00 – 20:30 BST
Professor Carolyn Young, MS and TONiC Lead, Walton Centre
I would like to invite you along to the TONiC event to find out more about TONiC research so that you can decide if you wish to be involved. TONiC offers people living with MS a chance to be part of research which will definitely influence future care.
TONiC is already providing ground-breaking data; this will change how people living with MS are treated in future. With more people providing information over a period of time we will be able to revise decades of thinking and really improve care pathways.
We want to work towards making best use of resources for people living with MS. We want to understand how different problems inter-relate so we can treat the cause and not the effect. We aim to help prevent some symptoms from developing by providing access to information and services earlier to enable you to obtain the treatment you need.
On 29th March 2017 at Jurys’ Inn, 43 Jeffrey Street. Edinburgh EH1 1DH at 7pm I will be providing up to date information on TONiC findings - if you have not joined yet we really want to see as many people as possible signing up to take part in TONiC. If you have already completed a questionnaire come along and see how your efforts are being analysed and consider how important it would be to understand how MS evolves and what leads to a better outlook. The more people taking part, the more accurate our data – the better the services for you in future. To book your place, please see below.
Whatever your type of MS, however it affects you; it is so important that you share your MS experience to help us to improve treatment for you.
I look forward to seeing you on the 29th March.
