What are the charities?

We'll be raising money to be given via the Rotary Club of Loughton and Buckhurst Hill to the  following two charities:

1. ShelterBox

ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters, at the time when they need it the most. They are now firmly established at the forefront of disaster relief and their work constantly earns the respect of outside agencies - they are often the first on the scene. Below is a video marking the tenth anniversary of ShelterBox.

2. Chigwell Riding Trust for Special Needs
Chigwell Riding Trust was the first riding centre for people with special needs in the world.  Tony is a trustee for this fantastic charity that is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year!  Riding instruction is given to people of all ages and abilities. The riding centre has approximately 160 riders each week.  As one of the leading specialised riding centres in the country, Chigwell Riding Trust not only benefits people with special needs but also the entire community, giving opportunities for volunteering, school participation and practical experience for children and adults working with people and animals.
