Keeping tools sharp and in good condition is absolutely vital for all of the skills that are taught on DRST courses. This course focuses mainly on the correct sharpening of billhooks and axes, but also includes the making and replacement of tool handles using pole lathe or drawknife. If you have any tools needing TLC, from garden tools, woodworking, craft or household tools come along to the course and bring them with you. We can also offer guidance and advice on the mainentance of chainsaws. There is ample parking at the venue and though most of the course will be outside we can work under shelter if it rains. There are also good, accessible toilet facilities here.
