Event description

Description

This is a highly participative one-day event for owners, directors, project managers, leaders, decision makers and influencers from SMEs and small Corporates who want to be better prepared for and succeed during and post-Brexit Britain.

The day will be delivered by the Business Improvement Network, and is brought to you in partnership with Business South, Destination Southampton, Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and Hampshire County Council.

The programme will consist of short introductions from speakers, with the majority of the day spent in groups discussing your real challenges and opportunities around Brexit including what you need to know, what are the potential risks and what you can start to do to mitigate those risks and take charge of your business journey.

Those attending can expect to spend the day genuinely networking with like-minded business professionals to actively discuss their business needs, concerns and opportunities during and post-Brexit and identify attention points to action as part of their business strategy.

The event will be hosted by PJ Stevens, with speakers and facilitators: Dr Michael McGrath and Andrea Norman-Walker.

Dr. Michael McGrath, will open the day. He is Britain’s leading practitioner in cognitive management, decision making and organisational performance. He has spent over 20 year’s working with some of the world’s leading organisations such as IBM, Lloyds Banking Group and Hewlett Packard, and since the 1990’s he has been helping companies understand where their focus is and needs to be in order to take advantage of uncertainties, such as BREXIT.

Andrea Norman-Walker is a seasoned diplomat with deep experience of European & North African affairs. She played a central role in Hungary’s accession to the EU and has spent most of the last decade in the working as mediating at ministerial level for international, governmental and business organisations. She is highly results focused and a great team player.

Benefits from participating will include: networking and building relationships with others; discussing real and relevant business needs, challenges and opportunities; understanding each other’s challenges during Brexit; looking at how to develop business and businesses during change; what does Brexit mean to me, to us and to Southampton business, and how can we take charge of our Business journey.

Refreshments and lunch are included in the significantly reduced price.
