The webinar is designed to accelerate your professional development, as well as maximizing your potential at work. It will focus on increasing the technical and transferable skills that anyone in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) needs.
Dr Goudarz Poursharif, the Programme Director for Professional Engineering BEng Programmes at Aston University will guide you through the technical skills and transferable skills that you need in STEM, and suggest ways in which you attain and develop these skills.
Jonathan Wilson, Power Consultant, at Schneider Electric and one of Aston’s University top BEng Professional Engineering Alumni will share his inspiring journey on his personal development, and then ending the webinar with a Q&A.
STEM-Up works with residents in the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership area (GBSLEP) to help them gain new STEM, Science Technology Engineering Arts Math (STEAM) and soft skills.
The programme, part-funded by the European Social Fund, brings together Birmingham City University, Aston University and Solihull College and University Centre to offer a wide range of FREE ‘taster’ STEM, STEAM and soft skills workshops.
