Description

Mr Fausto Palazzo is a Consultant Endocrine Surgeon at Hammersmith Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London where he is Clinical Lead for Endocrine Surgery. He trained in general surgery in London and in endocrine surgery in Oxford, Sydney and Marseille. He has one of the UK's largest practices in thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgery and in 2014 performed over 350 procedures including 160 parathyroidectomies and 40 laparoscopic or retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomies. His specialist interest is thyroid cancer, re-operative parathyroid surgery and minimally invasive endocrine surgery.

He teaches on national and international courses and has published extensively on all aspects of endocrine disease and surgery.


Dr Nida Chammas is An accomplished consultant physician in Diabetes, Endocrinology, Acute and General Medicine, Dr Chammas has extensive clinical experience gained in busy district general hospitals and teaching hospitals such as Hammersmith, UCLH and King's College Hospital. She has also undertaken additional training in the field of reproductive endocrinology at UCLH and obtained a postgraduate award in insulin pump therapy from Warwick University.


Dr Chammas has a strong research background, including an MSc in Endocrinology and Diabetes at King's. She has also undertaken valuable research in the Diabetic Foot Clinic at King's, with results presented internationally and is currently undertaking further research into the management of the diabetic foot, having successfully applied for CLAHRC funding, with colleagues and collaborators.

Dr Chammas is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer for Imperial College and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians where she develops questions for the College examinations.


Professor Andrea Frilling is a consultant Endochrine Suergon and her special interests include Endocrine surgery, thyroid, parathyroids, adrenal, pancreas, Neuroendocrine tumors,small bowel tumours, Hepato-pancreato-biliary diseases, Liver metastases, Gallbladder disease and personalised medicine


The evening seminar will commence at 18:30 with registration & refreshments, with speakers to begin talks at 19:00 for a 20:15 finish.

This event is open to practising physical therapists and GMC registered GPs.
