Top Up Your Creative Tool Kit
Overview
This 2 hour professional development workshop for teachers, teaching assistants, youth workers and other professionals working with young people in Salford.
During the 2 hour session, participants will be guided through a series of creative activities that are designed to support young people’s wellbeing.
These will be a mix of visual arts & theatre based interventions; for use with young people in both 1-1 and group contexts.
We hope that participants will leave the session having learnt some new approaches and activities that will enable them to use Creativity to support young people’s wellbeing, in their day jobs.
This practical, creative, hands on workshop will be led by highly experienced Art Psychotherapist Sarah Harrison-Greaves & Creative Health Practitioner and Psychotherapist, Rosalyne Norford (full biogs below).

Resources: You will be sent a workshop plan of the activities after the training to use in your own contexts.
*This workshop is not aimed at professional artists or creative practitioners already using creativity with children and young people.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS
Sarah Harrison-Greaves is an Art Psychotherapist, Artist & Clinical Supervisor with years of experience in managing and delivering Art therapy groups for people experiencing mental health difficulties. Sarah has six degrees and often works as a guest lecturer and specialist in Art Therapy in a number of Academic & Sector based conferences and events. Sarah is passionate about supporting people's mental health through Creativity and believes it is an accessible way to support young people, especially.
Rosalyne Norford is a Creative Health Practitioner and Psychotherapist with 10 years experience in developing and delivering creative interventions designed to support wellbeing, explore identity and build connection. Rosalyne offers wellbeing consultancy and counselling to those in the cultural sector. Her practice includes delivering workshops in secure settings, building films alongside community groups and using drama and creative arts in youth settings. All of Rosalyne’s endeavors are underpinned by the belief in creative arts having the power to create positive change in individuals and communities.

The workshop will be delivered in the community space of Moorside High School
The entrance to the car park is off the East Lancs Road (A580) travelling in the direction of Manchester City Centre. It is a large campus but the entrance you would need is the South Entrance.
The nearest transport link is Eccles interchange, from here you can travel to Moorside School using the bus links: 21 Service, 22 Service
