Event description

Description

Almost two years on from her last solo gig, Tori Allen-Martin is back with a bang. Ahead of the release of her second EP (released 15/09/17) Tori invites you to the start of her next chapter. Where better than to host the night than the Battersea Barge where Tori performed her first solo gig in 2010. An intimate setting where she'll chart all the highs and lows that brought her to now as well as let you in on a sneak peek of what's to come.

Expect laughter, tears, a lot of drinks and a special guest or two.

Tori Allen-Martin is a singer, songwriter, producer, actor and OFFIE nominated writer who has just been named as one of the BBC’s New Talent Hotlist 2017. Tori's self-penned and self funded, debut EP, 'Wasted' debuted top 20 in the iTunes singer/songwriter chart. She also appears on Idris Elba's mi Mandela album. Tori worked with Elba, living in South Africa and Mali for the duration of recording. She also appears with Elba and Norman Cook on ‘The Road Less Travelled’ for ‘The Take’ movie soundtrack. Tori's career in the arts has spanned over ten years and credits include Hair (European Tour), Mimi in Rent (The Cockpit), Lauren in Muted (The Bunker) and NoNo in the World Premiere of Yarico (London Theatre Workshop). Tori is currently back in the studio working on new material for her second EP and has been appearing as backing vocalist for Eliza and the Bear (BBC Radio One Live Lounge, Sunday Brunch, CBBC Chart Show, Virgin Radio Pre-V Fest show and more) as well as appearing on their latest single, Higher. Tori founded multi-award nominated theatre company Interval Productions in 2009, and has produced six musicals under that banner (five of them entirely original pieces) and an arts council funded season of new Musical Theatre writing (Made In LDN). Interval Production’s original musicals Streets, Another Way and Muted (all co-written by Tori) have all received Offie Nominations for ‘Best New Musical’.
