Event description
The monthly MAKE GOOD lecture by Morphē Arts: critical explorations of contemporary art and the Christian faith.

About this Event

“The only philosophy which can be responsibly practiced in the face of despair is to attempt to contemplate all things as they would present themselves from the standpoint of redemption....” (Adorno, Minima Moralia).

This lecture will dialogue with the chapter Whole Wounds from Peggy Phelan’s book Mourning Sex. It will consider methodologies of engagement between theology, art theory and philosophy. Responding to the themes of redemption, substitution, trauma, and tacit/bodily knowledge as explored in Phelan’s text.

Sarah is an artist working across sculpture, installation and movement research. She has worked for Morphē Arts for seven years as a mentor to artists.
