As part of the CONSUMED exhibition program at ArtHouse Jersey, Capital House this Autumn, Lindsay Rutter and the Women’s Research Wānanga would like to invite you to a clay workshop in the gallery.
Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to a larger body of work, “The Riverbed Debris”, a collection of hand formed ceramic pebbles, individually stamped with thoughts and narratives that arise from reflecting on the work on display within the CONSUMED exhibition at ArtHouse Jersey's Capital House gallery.
You will have time to walk through the exhibition, then peacefully reflect on the themes within the show and explore thoughts that arise from the experience. These reflections can be noted down to become part of a larger piece of work.
Participants are invited to sit together and make stones from clay, contribute your thoughts and feedback, burnish pebbles, and stamp words onto existing stones.
Please come in clothing you do not mind getting dusty with clay.
Booking for this event is required, tickets are free of charge.
