Frequently asked questions

Where can I park my car?

There is a car park outside the front of Entrance 1 for the maternity unit. You will need cash/card as it is Pay & Display. You will need to come to the 2nd floor via Entrance 1.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, you are very welcome to have someone with you, but we would limit this to one other person so that the group size is not too large. Your ticket will admit yourself and one other person so please only book one ticket.

Who will be guiding the tour?

Either a midwife or a support worker who will have lots of experience caring for people in labour on the birth centre.

How long will the tour be?

It will last approximately 30 minutes, but an hour has been allocated in case you have any individual questions at the end. If appropriate, we will also try and include a visit to the labour ward so you can compare the differences between the 2 departments.
