Description

The National Museums Collections Centre at Granton, Edinburgh, houses Artefact, Engineering and Paper & Textile conservation facilities, and a new suite for Analytical Research activities. On this guided tour you will visit these facilities to meet the conservators and see the range of projects currently being worked on. You will also visit the research facility for Scottish History and Archaeology and Natural Science, and learn about the new storage areas.

Further Information

Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour is scheduled to start and report to Reception at the Gatehouse building on the right hand side of the entrance barrier.

There is no visitor parking available but there is on street parking within the vicinity. Further information on parking can be found at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/parking.

A number of parking spaces are available for Blue Badge holders and we can also accommodate bicycles. To book a Blue Badge parking space or discuss any access requirements, please contact your ISG representative.

A number of buses run to NMCC from various parts of Edinburgh, including the 8, 16 and 32 Lothian Bus services. More details can be found on www.lothianbuses.com.
