Event description

Description

Join us for a tour of St Luke’s Gardens followed by a Daisy Tea where you can learn about the impact of the daisy in society. Why does this humble flower pack such a punch?

We are delighted to welcome Andrew Sankey to speak to us.

Previously a teacher Andrew turned to garden landscaping and ran a small nursery specialising in plants for cottage gardens, dry shade & dry sun. He is also a garden designer specialising in cottage garden borders. Now a lecturer on a wide variety of Garden History topics who talks to garden clubs and regularly runs courses for the U3A and WEA. Andrew lectured on English Cottage Gardens in the USA and was for many years Chairman of Lincolnshire Cottage Garden Society.

The event will be held in the Vestry. Light refreshments will be served.

This event is held as part of the King's Road Flower Power celebration alongside Chelsea in Bloom and Chelsea Fringe in association with Chelsea Gardens Guild. It is an event organised by the local community.

Tickets are FREE and must be booked in advance.

We would be grateful for a small donation to St Luke's Church.
