About this event

The Parker Library is one of the greatest national heritage treasures. It is internationally renowned for its important collection of medieval and renaissance manuscripts, as well as its valuable holdings of early printed books. It is one of the most significant surviving renaissance libraries in Europe.

Participants will get a tour of the old library, hear about its history and its rare holdings, and discover how the world famous collection ended up under the care of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. Tour includes viewing of the current exhibition on display.

In May 2024 the exhibition will focus on College's alumnus, the novelist, playwright and screenwriter Christopher Isherwood (1904-1986). The tours are FREE during the month of May. Book through the separate May event page.

Please note, video and audio recordings are not permitted in the library.

Ticket holders: Entrance archway on Trumpington Street, please report at the Porters Lodge.
