Description

UCL is applying for University Status

Council agreed at its meeting on the 25th October 2017 to instigate the process of applying for university status for UCL, while enabling it to remain a member institution of University of London. As a result, a number of changes will need to be made to UCL’s Charter and Statues to support this change in status.

As part of this process, the opportunity is being taken to consider whether it is appropriate to make some further changes to UCL’s Charter and Statutes. In response to a suggestion from Academic Board, a consultation process is being led by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Wendy Appleby, on possible changes that could be made to the Charter and Statutes.

As part of this consultation a series of town hall sessions have been organised to support input and discussion of potential amendments. If you are interested in inputting into this consultation please book onto this or another of the town hall sessions. We welcome your contributions and input.
