YB Nik Nazmi has served as the Member of Parliament for Setiawangsa since 2018. Within PKR, he has seld several key leadership roles including Vice President (2022-2025), Youth Chief (2014-2018) and Communications Director.
He was appointed Minister of Natural Resources, Energy and Climate Change from December 2022 to December 2023. Following a cabinet reshuffle, he continued to lead the restructered Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability until his resignation in July 2025.
