Seminar Topic

Is appraisal really dead? How to deliver sustained high performance through people.

Much has been said recently about the lack of effectiveness of appraisal with little reference to actual evidence. This practical session assimilates the most up to date academic research on the relationship between HR Practice & Organisational Performance and explains how HR professionals can use this information to develop and sustain a high performance culture. You will be taken on an enlightening and thought provoking journey through a range of case studies and discussions.

The session covers:

  • How to get HRM taken seriously within your organisation
  • The direct relationship between Employee Performance Management and Organisational Performance
  • What ‘Good’ Performance Management looks like
  • How  to deliver culture change and sustained business value using this information
  • Case studies of how and where this has worked

The session is led by Lucinda Carney, a Chartered Psychologist and experienced HR professional herself and promises to be both entertaining and pragmatic.

Our Speaker

Lucinda Carney
Founder & CEO
Actus™ Software

Lucinda is a skilled business consultant, facilitator of change and Chartered Occupational Psychologist, with extensive experience of training individuals and teams up to CEO level in both the Public and Private Sector. As the CEO of Actus™ Software she was named Everywoman Tech Entrepreneur of the Year 2016. Lucinda’s strength is in quickly understanding the people or cultural requirements within a business and defining practical solutions that align with business strategy.
Having previously enjoyed a highly successful business career starting in sales and progressing to the top as a learning & organisational development professional in a corporate environment, Lucinda understands first hand, the challenges of being a leader in times of change. A trusted advisor, confidante and coach to the board she was responsible for developing innovative leadership & talent management strategies and is sought out for her expertise as a writer and speaker in managing and driving high performance culture change
Lucinda spotted the need for Actus™ Performance Management Software when she set up her consultancy in 2009. It was clear that many businesses needed greater focus and alignment from their people and the existing (largely US) software was clunky and off putting. Actus™ Software has engagement build in. It is designed to embed year round people management activities which helps drive increased productivity and engagement. As you would expect team work in partnership with every client to ensure that they achieve their cultural and performance goals.
