TQUK/CIEH Partnership Event
Wed, March 22, 2017, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM GMT
TQUK and CIEH are delighted to announce that HIT Training, People1st and Psittacus Systems will be joining us at the Kingsway Hall Hotel, London on March 22nd.
The event, which is designed to provide an overarching view of the Hospitality and Catering sector and the Environmental Health sector moving forward, will provide training centres with a wealth of knowledge and information about the sectors from 2017 onwards. Including the new hospitality apprenticeship standards and what they mean for employers and providers alike.
Anne Godfrey, Chief Executive of CIEH
“The decision to voluntarily surrender our recognition as a regulated awarding organisation wasn’t easy but one we had to make. The event with TQUK presents us with a great opportunity not only for people to ask questions about the CIEH’s future but also what new learning products they can expect from us going forward.”
Annette Allmark, Director of Strategic Policy, People1st:
“The apprenticeship system is undergoing its most radical change in decades and, for some employers, it can seem overwhelming. People 1st has worked with employers in the hospitality industry to design and develop seven new apprenticeship standards, and is working with a wide range of businesses to prepare and embrace the new system and maximise on their levy investment.
‘We provide expert advice to a number of leading employers to help shape their apprenticeship strategies – the TQUK and CIEH event is a great opportunity to share some of our insight and explain how they can benefit from the new apprenticeships."
Jill Whittaker, Managing Director of HIT Training Ltd:
“2017 is set to be a big year for apprenticeships with the Apprenticeship Levy coming into force in April and the introduction of new training standards to compliment those launched last year.
TQUK provides us with the perfect forum to discuss what these developments mean for employers and how they can make the most of the new training opportunities.”
Andrew Walker, Managing Director of Training Qualifications UK
“TQUK has a great 2017 ahead and we want everyone to know what we will be up to. We hope the event with CIEH will provide centres with a wealth of information to take away with them which clears up any uncertainties about the road ahead. And we’re always on hand to help.”
We’ll be discussing a range topics including:
What the new hospitality apprenticeship standards mean for employers and providers
The process of making the switch to the new standards and maximising the benefits for learners and employers
How the Apprenticeship Levy funding can be used to reassess apprenticeship programmes and implement new hospitality standards
The results of a CIEH commissioned YouGov independent survey of the Environmental Health sector
