Event description

Description

Part of the North York Moors National Park’s Guided Walks Programme.

From a former station, walk with Joan Roberts along railway trackbeds up into Hutton Wood and round forest tracks to Bold Venture Gill. There was mining in these hills. We’ll come back down through Hutton Village, once miners’ and estate workers’ homes, and see the old school and Hutton Hall.

This 5-mile includes steep ascents and descents (pavements, roads and steps). Varied and uneven surfaces and stiles.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Dogs allowed on short leads.

Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Our guided walks are free, although a suggested donation of £2 is welcome, helping us to care for the National Park.

Booking essential. For more information call 01439 772738.
