Event description

Description

Join the Department for International Trade (DIT) London Region and ERDF’s Global Growth Project in an Animation Sector Trade Mission to Turin, Italy and explore the opportunities of an important export market for British animation services.

Why participate?

Turin is the Italian cluster of TV production specialised in children’s programmes and animation. In Italy, 22 TV channels are dedicated to children and animation which is the highest number in Europe, however 89% of animation programming is imported from abroad. Local animation companies have strong relations with the public broadcaster RAI and are looking for co-production partners from the UK. RAI invests important budgets in new productions.

UK animation companies such as producers, writers, story editors or companies in the CGI and VFX sector are very much appreciated by Italian production companies.

Who should apply?

London-based SMEs in the animation, children’s content, TV and Film sector.

What are the benefits of participating?

UK businesses will have the chance to present their offerings independently to an audience of engaged potential buyers and co-production partners.
