Description

This course, led by Professor Mary Davis, is about trade unions, class and power. It looks at the strengths and weaknesses of the trade union movement in Britain today, how the experience of work is changing and how people can be won to become active trade unionists in current circumstances.

Session 1: This session looks at Trade Unions today and how they developed.

Session 2: This session looks at Exploitation: how it happens and how it can be resisted.

Session 3: This session looks at turning points - when unions have shifted the balance of power.

Session 4: This session looks at how the ruling class has fought back.
