Is trading in the cloud possible? BJSS and Barclays Rise collaborate to find out, live from our panel of experts from across the Globe.

About this Event

About this Event

A pertinent topic given that we've seen trading desks move to home, and all the issues with infrastructure / workstations that has arisen as a result of this change. Today, security trading is primarily performed through dedicated proprietary technology platforms. Is trading in the cloud possible? What are the barriers? Do things like high performant web-based interfaces enable cloud instances to reduce the reliance on high-powered workstations? How does the growth of algorithmic trading encourage cloud-based trading?

As people start to tentatively come back to the trading floors, they are surely going to start looking at 'there must be a better way' - and the barriers that may have been there before from the risk officers, maybe a little lower.

This is a thought-provoking interactive discussion where the panel will explore the technical, regulatory and business challenges and values around trading assets on Cloud-based platforms.

This session will be brought to you virtually in a true international event with panellists from America and the UK. Panel members include business and technology leaders with a combined experience of over 150 years in Capital Markets. Find out more about their views on the challenges, but also the 'art of the possible', and how under the backdrop of a global pandemic, moving to Public Cloud would add flexibility and preparedness.
