BYOB (welcome drink, tea and water provided).

Pairing recommendations for Japanese meals:

Wines: A dry sparkling. Slightly dry whites, Sauvignon Blanc or a Grüner. Reds: soft Syrah or Pinto Noir, a light Chilean, or even a Beaujolais. http://www.japanese-food-and-wine.com/

Beers: An Asian lager compliments everything (my opinion), as does a hazy pale ale.

Sake (sah-kay): I personally think a Junmai Daiginjo is the best. However, it’s not the easiest to find or the cheapest. At non-speciality stores, look for three ingredients: Rice, Koji, Water. I often find the added “alcohol” to be too strong tasting (my opinion). The sparkling sake is also fun; comes in both dry or sweet depending on preference.

Most of all, don’t worry about it and drink what you actually like!

Refunds: Attendees can receive refunds (minus fees) up to 3 days before the event start date. If fewer than 3 days, feel free to give your seat to friend. Please contact me to let me know their information.
