About this Event
Please note: this is a participatory workshop and is not recorded
As innovative as Shakespeare was, he was equally economical. This economy involved repetition of themes, devices, and situations. Shakespeare recycled countless dramatic tropes, simply because they worked and gave audiences familiar points of entry.
Using key examples from recorded productions, this online class involves observation, discussion, and emulation of typical scenes in each of Shakespeare’s genres, providing scenic templates and useful shorthand to add to your improvisation toolkit.
Part of a series of stand-alone online workshops run by members of Impromptu Shakespeare. Join us as we delve into the glorious details of improvising the Bard! Pick a workshop that takes your fancy, or come to them all and geek out!
