Description

“Traherne For Our Times” Poetry talks and concert

An exploration of the work of Teddington priest and metaphysical poet Thomas Traherne (c.1637-1674), whose work represented a key moment in the development of Anglican spirituality and provides a unique window into traditions of Christian innocence and the quest for happiness for all peoples.

The day will include talks by Rt Rev & Rt Hon Lord Richard Harries and Traherne scholar Dr Beth Dodd and will culminate in a concert including a performance of Dies Natalis by Finzi.

Submissions of local Traherne or Teddington inspired poetry are welcomed for inclusion into a Teddington 800 poetry booklet.
