Great mates, great movies and a great venue! We're bringing The Trails In Motion Film Tour to Manchester for 2025!

We'll be screening a fantastic selection of trail running movies from around the world in the Chapman Building of University of Salford, part of the Peel Park Campus.

Endurance, perserverance, mountains, rebirth and family are central to the themes of the 2025 Trails In Motion Film Tour line up.

Each of the 6 films offer an exciting and inspirational view into the world of trail and ultra running, all the while showcasing some of the planet's most breathtaking trail running destinations in the process.

The Trails In Motion Film Tour is an annual international film tour for the community, by the community, bringing a collection of the finest trail and ultra running films to passionate audiences around the world.

Join like-minded trail runners and adventure sports enthusiasts at an engaging film festival-styled event as we all come together to celebrate the diverse culture of the sport.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Here’s the simplest way for Sun 5 Oct 2025 from Manchester City Centre to Chapman 3 (Lecture Theatre 3), Chapman Building, University of Salford (Peel Park campus).

Fastest (train + short walk)

1. From Manchester Victoria (or Oxford Road/Piccadilly), take any Northern train stopping at Salford Crescent(typical ride 7–10 min on Sundays).
2. At Salford Crescent, exit onto University Road and walk ~8–10 min through campus to the Chapman Building(next to New Adelphi). Chapman 3 is just inside on the right. Use the campus map app if you have it on arrival.

Simple (bus from city centre)

1. From the city centre (e.g., Piccadilly Gardens/Portland St), board Bee Network bus 50 towards Salford Quays/MediaCityUK.
2. Alight at University of Salford / Salford Crescent stops on The Crescent (A6) and walk 5–8 min to the Chapman Building.

• Building 11: Chapman Building, is right by New Adelphi, and the Salford Crescent station.
• Room location: “Lecture Theatre 3 is to the right as you enter the Chapman Building.”

There’s also easy on-campus parking by Chapman 3 (Chapman Building, Peel Park campus):

• Closest car parks: Irwell Place Car Park (M5 4WT) is ~200 m from Chapman Building; Lowry/Delaney accommodation car parks (M5 4NJ) are also beside Chapman.
• Hours & price (visitors): Parking charges apply 09:00–18:00, seven days a week. After 18:00 it’s free—handy for our evening event! If you choosee to arrive earlier here are the current visitor tariffs: £2.50 (up to 1 hr), £5 (1–3 hrs), £8 (4–6 hrs), £12 (day until 18:00).
• How to pay: Use the university’s ParkUs system on arrival; Irwell Place also has a Pay & Display machine.
• Blue Badge/accessible: Designated bays are in every car park; Irwell Place has multiple Blue Badge spaces. No advance booking needed for Blue Badge bays.

• EV charging: The campus has eight EV charge points (plus a public charger outside Crescent House).
