Sunday, 3 May 2015 from 10:00 to 17:00 (BST)
STEAM TRAIN RIDE & WALK moderate 8 miles - MAY 3rd
Come and join Anita, our ever popular and friendly walk leader.
We meet at the Courtyard Café off Castle Street where you can enjoy a tea, coffee and snacks before the off.
We'll walk at 10.30 to the Railway Station to catch the 10.50 Steam Train.
You'll have a 20 minute nostalgic steam train ride, so sit-back and watch the beautiful Dee Valley and river go by.
This walk takes us gently back to Llangollen with a lovely meander through hill farms with spring lambs in the fields and views of the Llantysilio Mountains and River Dee.
We'll visit the Horseshoe Falls and finish the walk on a pretty stretch of the Llangollen Canal where you will see the horse drawn boats, to end at the Canal Wharf Café between 4.00 and 4.30pm.
Price includes train ticket fare.
