Description

Do your in-house trainers possess the training and communication skills to deliver high impact business, quality and safety critical training to your employees?

This 3 day certificated course has been designed specifically for in-house trainers who specialise in their profession/trade, but lack the skills to deliver effective training that will engage an internal audience and meet relevant regulatory requirements.

Our most frequent participants include trainers covering health and safety, machine operation, fire safety, driver trainers and other business functions where non-professional trainers are delivering critical information.

We will be delivering this course right across Ireland, please follow this link to see a location and course dates near your business.

Course Summary

By the end of this challenging 3 day course, participants will be transformed into highly effective and well prepared trainers deliving high standard training. They will engage your often sceptical internal audience with immersive and practical training sessions.

We deliver the right blend of training theory and practical training skills, where the emphasis is on the practical. Your trainer(s) are asked to bring a short training session they deliver at work. We focus on this throughout the course making it a very personal and specific experience based on what they actually do. Each participant will deliver their training with feedback 3 times over the duration of the course.

Day 1

Participants are immersed in a blend of practical training with the essential theory necessary for effective training. They will immediately understand the specific transformation that needs to take place in their training techniques through two practical delivery sessions.

Day 2

After reviewing the final day 1 delivery session, we introduce participants to a high impact 3 step process to prepare to engage learners, plan the training session, and ensure their learners fully understand the training. Day 2 is mainly focused on participants fine-tuning the training they will deliver in your company.

Day 3

The final day starts with practical tips on managing your learners and environment before participants deliver their final training session with feedback. The course ends with an assessment for ILM Endorsed Award certification.

FAQs

Who is this Train the Trainer ILM Endorsed Award for?

This course is particularly suitable for what we call ‘non-professional’ trainers – i.e. in-house employees who have also taken on a training role/responsibility as part of their job. We have the perfect balance between theory and practice. All delegates are asked to bring a short training session with them, relevant to what they will deliver for real. All theory is directed back towards each person’s short session to enable both understanding and practical application.

Is this course suitable for new/inexperienced trainers?

Yes, absolutely. Our practical focus is perfect to get new or inexperienced trainers off to a great start. We work with delegates building them up towards delivering a polished training session.

We do not leave delegate delivery sessions until the final day as we believe this is pointless. Our approach is to get each delegate delivering very short sessions right from day 1 so they can get feedback. Opportunities to implement that feedback is built into the course allowing the learners to work on and improve their training sessions and delivery throughout the 3 days.

Our focus is on developing great trainers who can deliver your business and safety critical training with high impact.

Who benefits from this ILM Endorsed Award Train the Trainer?

Your in-house trainers will benefit, especially those who have not been pursuing a profession as a trainer, by being able to prepare and deliver high impact training. We provide a practical 3 step model enabling your trainers to grab the attention of the audience, deliver the training so it is memorable and understandable, and ensure every learner leaves feeling s/he has had a personal experience.

Your employees will benefit. After completing the etimes2 ILM Endorsed AwardTrain the Trainer, your trainers will be able to engage employees on even repetitive regulatory training. Get rid of the ‘not this again’ attitude to ‘I really enjoyed that’.

Your business will benefit. Most of the trainers participating on our course are health and safety related trainers. They may be H&S trainers, machine operation instructors, or other relevant trainers. They are delivering training because your business is committed to ensuring a safe and productive working environment. We prepare your trainers to get the message across clearly, simply and understood by their learners.

Can this course be delivered in your company?

Yes. This is an efficient and highly effective way to develop all your trainers at the same time. It also gives you the added benefit of saving money rather than sending individual trainers on public courses.

If this sounds right for you, please contact us for a chat.

What Certification will you achieve?

Participants will complete a 3 day training course, 3 practical training sessions with feedback, and a 45 minute assessment. This leads to achievement of the ILM Endorsed Award Train the Trainer.

ILM is part of the City and Guilds Group, one of the leading internationally recognised awarding bodies.

How will you achieve your Certification?

You are required to attend all 3 days, complete all 3 training delivery sessions during the course, and a 45 minute assessment on the final afternoon.

Your assessment will be marked as soon as it is complete. It carries a 50% pass mark. If you fall short of the 50%, you will receive feedback and, consistent with all ILM certifications, one chance to amend and resubmit.

To date, etimes2 enjoys a 100% pass rate.

No additional coursework is required after the 3 day course. All assessment is carried out during the 3 days
