Restore2 is designed to support staff in care homes to:
- Recognise when a resident may be deteriorating or at risk of physical deterioration.
- Obtain a set of physical observations to inform escalation and conversations with health professionals.
- Speak with the most appropriate health professional in a timely way to get the right support.
This session will teach you to:
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the use of the RESTORE2 and NEWS2 observation tools
- Identify possible early soft signs of deterioration
- Be aware of when it is appropriate to complete a set of vital signs and when it is appropriate to immediately escalate to the emergency services
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the use of the SBARD escalation tool
- Learn basic training skills and how to deliver your session for colleagues.
- Learn about different learning styles and how to accommodate each when you are delivering to a range of people.
