This drop-in event will be supported by the area's most successful teacher training providers including the i2i Teaching Partnership SCITT, representing Secondary training across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire and St Polycarp's Teacher Training, representing Primary training in Surrey & Hampshire.

Teachers and teacher training experts will be on hand to answer questions about

  • routes into teaching,
  • gaining school experience,
  • the application and interview process
  • the bursaries that are available.

You are welome to attend at any time between 10am and 12 noon, however i2i SCITT Director Amy Diprose will be giving a short presentation at 10.15am so you may wish to plan you arrival for this.

The event will be held in the i2i SCITT's Training and Conference room at Weydon School where both advisors from Primary and Secondary Teacher Training will be showcasing their own teacher training programme. For those thinking about training to teach across Surrey, West London, Hampshire and Berkshire through the school-led approach, this will be a 'must attend' event.

Open to all members of the public in other careers, university students, graduates who have not yet settled on a career and to those already working in schools. (Please note that in order to train to teach you need to hold a Degree.)

Please park at Weydon School or in the nearby vicinty. The i2i Training Room is located at the far right hand end of the school and is accessed by walking around the side of the far right brick building and through a glass door on your left. Signs will be in place to direct you.
